Race Morning
Dash & Dye is a 5K Color Fun Run. 1st wave goes out at 11am, last wave at noon. Waves every 10 minutes and runners will go out on a first come first served basis. Remember the event is not timed so there is no reason to go CRAZY jockeying for position. Take your time and enjoy the Color Run experience with your friends and family. *Please make sure your bib number is attached and visible on the front of your shirt. This is how you will be identified as a Color Runner at the finish line and allowed past security at the start. Teams may run in a group or separately, it is completely up to your discretion.
Arrive early. Allow plenty of time to park & get prepped for the race. Make sure you have your bib. Your race bib is your ticket into the run. You HAVE to have it in order to be on the course…..and we cannot give you another one if you leave them at home! So tape them to your forehead, roll them up in your running shoes, or pin them to the front of your running shirt as soon as you get it! Oh and don‘t forget to wear white – it’s more fun, we promise.
There will not be physical obstacles on course.
***Runners that are unable to run due to tardiness will not receive refunds***

Cleaning Up
Here are some tips for cleaning up…
Before
Oiling your hair well on race morning will make it easier to wash out the color later. Coconut oil or olive oil work best. A good leave in conditioner will do the trick as well. This is a particularly useful tip for runners with light colored or highlighted hair.
Many runners wear a thick scarf or bandana to cover their hair. Others use the bandana to cover their mouth as they run through the color zones or to help wash off after. However you choose to use it, a bandana or scarf is pretty useful at the Dash & Dye.
Wear a good sunscreen and lip balm.
We suggest some form of eyewear. Some people wear sunglasses or swim goggles.
Have some fun with it and try to avoid getting a lot of powder in your eyes.
Though the color will eventually wash out of just about everything, you may not want to wear your expensive running shoes.
After
Dust off as much dry powder as you can before you apply any water.
Cleaning your hair: Dust any loose powder out of your hair. Rinse out the oil/conditioner you
wisely applied before the race with cold water. Most of the color should come right out. Now wash your hair as you normally would. It is not uncommon for hints of some of the color, pink and purple particularly, to stick around for a few washes.
The color is probably not coming all the way out of your white cotton shirt. You should be proud of that. But just about everything else should clean up pretty well.
Remove all excess powder before adding water. Wash your Color Run gear separately, with COLD water. Oxiclean, or a similar product, will work wonders on your running equipment.
